Before His Passion, Jesus promised His disciples a gift that would sustain, guide, and renew them: the Holy Spirit, whom He called the Paraclete, the Advocate, Consoler, and Spirit of Truth (John 14:16).
The Holy Spirit is not an abstract force but the living presence of God within the Church and in the hearts of believers. He consoles in moments of sorrow, strengthens in weakness, enlightens the mind, and sets hearts ablaze with divine love. It is through the Spirit that the Church remains alive, missionary, and faithful across the ages.
For the Missionary Society of Divine Paraclete, the Holy Spirit is both model and source of our missionary life. Our dependence on Him reminds us that authentic mission is not driven by human strength alone but by docility to Godโs grace.
To live in the Spirit is to allow ourselves to be guided, corrected, purified, and sent. The Paraclete regenerates hearts, renews zeal, and restores hope where it has grown dim. In listening to the Spirit, we learn how to love, how to serve, and how to proclaim Christ with humility and courage.
